Main Responsibilities
- Provide fully support all kinds of HSBC internal and external banking system software and related hardware not only to located branch but also to the branches/sub-branches in the support region;
- Manage the service vendor team to ensure cabling work and PBX setting on satisfactory level, and monitor the Helpdesk service on good service quality, escalate the outstanding problem to supervisor in the support region;
- Centralize the administration of LAN/System account to all branches in covered region, supervise the workflow of IT inventory housekeeping to all branches and organize the annual asset check in the region;
- Handle system incident with remote support from AOC IT and local support from maintenance services vendors;
- Administrate IT server-room facilities, including the servers, UPS, Air Conditioners, etc., give necessary troubleshooting and report when any problem occurred, and implement system upgrade under the technical guidance;
- Participate in implementing drill plan and BRP plan, including monitoring the daily backup and storage operation;
- Load the latest security patches and virus signature files at the local servers, PCs, and laptops as soon as receiving instructions from AOC IT and APH IT security in order to protect front-end equipment at branch from virus infections;
- Implement and support new system services, identify and resolve IT service problems, support group projects on desktop system according to the project time frame;
- Provide powerful support for the banking expansions, and trace the progresses for the new sub-branch opening, ATM installation and office relocation;
- Manage various vendors in good cooperation.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above, major in computer science or related discipline;
- 2 years/above experience in IT desktop service, strong knowledge in IT hardware software;
- Good at maintaining the PC hardware, Office applications, Networking, Cabling and PBX;
- Experience in managing vendors;
- Excellent communication and good leadership skills;
- Able to work independently and under pressure;
- Willing to long-time travel in the covered region;
- Working experience in IBM AS/400 and mainframe is a plus;
- MCSE and CCNA certifications are preferred;
- Fluent in speaking/reading/writing English. |
