Client Profile:
Our client is a global leader in banking solutions and leading provider of software/applications to service the banking/financial services industry. Their Global HQ is in Europe, though they have been entrenched in Asia Pacific for over 10 years and have a very strong presence here. They are now looking for a seasoned sales professional to drive sales and develop business for the company in the China market.
Job Title:Sales Manager, CHINA
Job Location: Shanghai
Reporting Line: Head of Sales, Greater China,(an English gentleman based in Hong Kong)
Responsibilities:
Be responsible for managing senior, C-level relationships within the clients’ business/end-user community (senior bankers – CEOs, MD’s, etc) and to drive sales of solutions and services into banks and financial services institutions throughout China, one of the company’s largest and key growth markets in Asia Pacific.
Background requirements:
The successful candidate should ideally have a proven track record in
Complex sales
Sales of big ticket items (US$3-4 million is a minimum deal size), and Long sales cycles (18 months and over).
At least 10 years of proven experience in selling software/services into global banks and financial institutions and managing relationships at the senior-most level, on the business management side within client accounts.
It is crucial that the individual have an in-depth understanding of banks and what motivates banks to change (their technology, from a business standpoint).
Business acumen, rather than pure technical knowledge, in banking systems is critical.
