I/O Software Engineers play lead roles in a multi-discipline team working on new products and solutions. You'll be a part of an exciting team that designs, implements, tests, and validates software for HP systems.
In this position, you will be highly involved in qualification testing and kernel debugging for hardware and operating environments. Also you will need to engage, possibly, in a totally unfamiliar I/O projects.
Additionally, as a part of the multi-discipline team, you may be assigned to help team members who have various R D responsibilities on a need basis. Your flexibility is required. Qualification
Education:
Bachelor's, Master's on computer science, information technology, engineering, math, physics, etc.
Experience required (MUST):
. 2+ years of software testing experience
. 2+ years of hardware related projects experience, especially on servers, storages and I/O systems.
. 2+ years Linux kernel debugging related experience or HP_UX I/O sub-system debugging experience
. Have practical experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, and familiar with QA methodology
. Leading or working with cross-functional teams
. Experienced in multi-nation environment

Knowledge required (MUST):
. Knowledge on HP_UX system administration and HP-UX system troubleshooting, especially on I/O subsystem and driver related models
. C, Shell and other scripting languages
. Knowledge on Linux and open source software, especially for Red Hat and SuSE Linux
. Knowledge on software engineering in software development
. Knowledge on qualification testing
. Fluent both in written English and in spoken English

Knowledge (Would-like-to-have):
. Knowledge hardware management system
. Knowledge of automated test tools
